Here’s a handful of surfing photographs I took of the recent large swell to batter the East Coast of Australia.
On 22nd May 2020, a huge 5 metre Southerly ground swell traveled up the East Coast of Australia. Due to it’s slow movement it stuck around for the next 4 days, producing some incredible surf across much of the coast. The surf forecast was looking amazing for this quiet beachie, with straight Westerly winds and good tides, and I was informed by a local that the banks were primed for a decent swell.
I spent the next few days taking over 1,000 surf photographs of the waves around the Mid-North Coast region, just in awe of how mechanically perfect the waves were looking, one after the next.
Below is a small handful of the wave photographs I took over the weekend, with plenty more still to go through and edit – phew!
