Boat Harbour, Port Stephens, NSW.
I’ve been wanting to explore more of the Nelson Bay/Port Stephens region on the NSW east coast for a while now and only recently have started venturing there. The morning’s are getting later and later now (March) so I don’t have to get up as early but it’s still a 4:40am alarm to make the hour drive there before first light.
The forecast was for a lot of high altitude cloud cover so I was fairly excited for it. Making the drive to Boat Harbour I had to put my faith in the GPS as I had never been there before, and driving in the dark removed any form of landmark along the roadside. It was a fairly straight-forward drive there after all, nothing to worry about.
As I arrived to the car park I noticed I wasn’t the first one here; there were 3 camper vans parked here which, as it turns out, they weren’t other photographers but what I’m guessing to be some travelers just having an overnight stop. Walking out towards the ocean on the small bush track I suddenly felt ecstatic; this is exactly where my body and mind wanted to be, away from all the noise and burdens of the city and getting to experience the start of a beautiful day alone with nature.

Paper Types Used
Lustre paper - This is like a blend between matt and glossy paper and is one of the highest quality papers within the printing industry. It has a beautiful look to it and the feel of a professional, high quality print.
Metallic paper - Metallic paper adds a unique flair to your photographs. A high contrast "chrome on paper" look, metallic paper adds extreme vibrancy to colours, giving your image greater details and depth.
Canvas Prints
We only use the highest grade, fade resistant HD pigment inks and premium quality 400gsm, museum grade, tight weave Hahnemühle archival canvas. Every canvas print is also coated with a non-cracking UV protective coating.
The canvas is then stretched around an eco friendly, kiln dried wooden frame and finished with professional framers tape and hanging wire.
All canvas prints are also printed at a super high resolution (2880 dpi) using EPSONS ULTRACHROME HDx technology, giving amazing clarity and ultra vivid colours!
