Merewether Baths, Newcastle NSW.
Having only lived here for 3 months, I was still sussing out places around Newcastle to photograph. Merewether Baths was obviously a popular spot for shooting, having seen hundreds of photos from here over the years, and with a forecast of 100% high cloud and low cloud it had the potential to be amazing this particular morning.
I quickly learnt that the sunrise was not going to do anything amazing, but the weird thing was that, despite having a thick cover of low cloud, it was as if the high cloud was being fiercely lit up by the suns’ rays and yet still managing to filter through the clouds below, painting everything in this eery-looking diffused red colour (I might add a colour one from this morning to the shop eventually). I never felt that the photos really worked as colour, but a black and white conversion to the image seemed to make all the detail really pop and the sharp, angular rocks helped to bring the attention into the scene. What do you think?

Paper Types Used

Canvas Prints
We only use the highest grade, fade resistant HD pigment inks and premium quality 400gsm, museum grade, tight weave Hahnemühle archival canvas. Every canvas print is also coated with a non-cracking UV protective coating.
The canvas is then stretched around an eco friendly, kiln dried wooden frame and finished with professional framers tape and hanging wire.
All canvas prints are also printed at a super high resolution (2880 dpi) using EPSONS ULTRACHROME HDx technology, giving amazing clarity and ultra vivid colours!
