I’ve photographed this rock on Forster’s Main Beach on numerous occasions now and have witnessed these ever-changing patterns carved in the sand each time I visit. Known by locals as “Crocodile Rock”, the shapes and lines that form in the sand are what I can only guess to be surface water runoff after recent rain (it rained a fair bit the day before taking this photo), although it seems to be quite different each time I visit. They kind of resemble a vast river system as it might appear if viewed from hundreds of metres up in the air.
I spent a week back in my hometown doing a few print deliveries and finalising other work commitments, which gave me the opportunity to head out for a few sunrises while I was there. It was a great morning watching the sun rise from back home, the sun conveniently rising in line with the end of the rock also, and then going to get some great waves with a few mates. Always great to be home.

Paper Types Used
Lustre paper - This is like a blend between matt and glossy paper and is one of the highest quality papers within the printing industry. It has a beautiful look to it and the feel of a professional, high quality print.
Metallic paper - Metallic paper adds a unique flair to your photographs. A high contrast "chrome on paper" look, metallic paper adds extreme vibrancy to colours, giving your image greater details and depth.
Canvas Prints
We only use the highest grade, fade resistant HD pigment inks and premium quality 400gsm, museum grade, tight weave Hahnemühle archival canvas. Every canvas print is also coated with a non-cracking UV protective coating.
The canvas is then stretched around an eco friendly, kiln dried wooden frame and finished with professional framers tape and hanging wire.
All canvas prints are also printed at a super high resolution (2880 dpi) using EPSONS ULTRACHROME HDx technology, giving amazing clarity and ultra vivid colours!
