Photo Description
Cellito Beach, Pacific Palms NSW.
Cellito Beach is a gorgeous stretch of beach in Pacific Palms, on the NSW mid-north coast. It doesn’t really need an introduction as it’s already extremely popular with tourists from the big smoke. The beautiful Sandbar Beach Caravan Park resides just nearby and there is 4WD access to the beach also, all adding to the popularity of the area.
I was contacted this particular day by my mate Kian at Raw Edge Photography, who had been studying the synoptic charts and gave me a heads up on a stunning sunset that was potentially forming for the evening. I had already planned on driving up to Forster-Tuncurry that afternoon for an upcoming commercial shoot anyway, so I made the slight detour to Cellito Beach on the way to town.
I played around with a few different compositions as the sun was setting and was stoked to see so much colour that I found myself excitedly bouncing around from rock to rock, unable to keep still. I eventually did settle on this position, where I was able to line up the rocks that lead their way through the photograph toward the Seal Rocks Lighthouse. I timed the photograph to capture the light from the lighthouse just as it swung around. All in all it was a stunning afternoon and a well executed detour to create this beautiful image that I am proud to show here on my website.
