Photo Description
The Bogey Hole, Newcastle NSW.
After a few years of photographing “The Bogey Hole” in Newcastle NSW, trying to get that “perfect shot”, I was rewarded in my persistence with Tuesday morning’s amazing sunrise, which finally gave me an image I can be proud of putting in my portfolio.
I arrived about 45 minutes before sunrise (around 5:40am) which gave me plenty of time to scout a composition. I was beginning to doubt whether the colours would actually arrive, but as it turns out I had to wait right up until sunrise at 6:30am, where the sky quickly began lighting up at the last second and the scene turned on. The pesky yellow floodlight above the stairs turned off too right before sunrise, absolutely perfect timing! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
